Ten production processes, all inside one facility
KH Glass Group performs cutting, edge processing, CNC machining, digital printing, tempering, heat soak testing, lamination, insulated glass unit assembly, bonding, and frame fabrication in-house at its 17,000 m² facility in Çatalca, Istanbul. None of these processes is subcontracted, which keeps quality control and scheduling under a single roof from raw glass to a delivery-ready, framed unit.

Cutting
Cutting sizes raw float glass sheets into project panel dimensions before any secondary process begins.

Edge processing
Edge processing removes the sharp edge left after cutting and prepares a panel's perimeter for tempering, lamination, or installation.

CNC machining
CNC machining is computer-controlled drilling, notching, and milling of glass panels ahead of tempering.

Digital printing
Digital printing applies ceramic ink onto the glass surface, which is then fired into the glass during tempering.

Tempering
Tempering heats glass near its softening point and rapidly cools it, producing fully tempered glass that is far stronger than annealed glass.

Heat soak testing
Heat soak testing forces unstable nickel sulfide inclusions in tempered glass to fail in the factory rather than after installation.

Lamination
Lamination bonds two or more glass panels together with an interlayer under heat and pressure, producing a unit that holds together if broken.

Insulated glass units (IGU)
An insulated glass unit seals two or more panes around a spacer bar, adding thermal and acoustic performance over single-pane glass.

Bonding — tempered and non-tempered curved glass
Bonding uses structural adhesives, most commonly silicone, to join glass to glass or glass to a metal substructure.

Frame fabrication (timber or metal)
Frame fabrication manufactures the timber or metal frame that holds a glass panel or insulated glass unit in place.
